- What teachers are saying about Mathletics
Students are awarded points for every correct answer they give in Mathletics curriculum activities and Live Mathletics. These points help track progress and encourage regular learning.
- Points are shown on the student’s Home page.
- When a student earns 1,000 points in a single week, they receive a certificate to celebrate their achievement.
- For every point earned, students also receive 1 M Coin.
- M Coins can be spent in the Avatar Store to customize their character.
- Points are reset every week to align with the certificate system, and the calculation period is from Monday to Sunday.
How Students Earn Points?
Points are awarded across Mathletics in a number of ways:
Live Mathletics
1 x correct answer = 1 point
1 x correct Bonus Level answer = 2 points
Curriculum Content
- Skill Quests & Activities
1 x correct answer = 10 points
1 x correct Test answer = 20 points
1 x correct Are you ready answer = 20 points
Bonus: Level up or complete a Quest = 50 points
Note: Within the Mathletics curriculum a maximum of 300 points can be earned per week from a single activity, 600 points for Topic Tests. This means if a student repeats the exact same activity multiple times in a week, they’ll only earn points up to the limit. This is designed to encourage students to attempt a wide range of activities.
- Challenges
Points earned match the score percentage, up to a maximum of 100 points per Challenge.
e.g. 75% score = 75 points; 100% = 100% 100 points
Note:
For Challenges activities, score is calculated as: (correct question parts ÷ total question parts) × 100%, rounded to the nearest whole number. Example: 3 out of 4 correct = 75%; 1 out of 2 correct = 50%.
Students can earn points up to 5 times per Challenge per academic year, whether assigned or voluntary.
